This man is a genius.
His name is Josh Schwartz, creator of “The O.C” and now “Gossip Girl” based on the best selling book.
After watching the review of the Gossip Girl, I have to watch when this premieres Spetember 19th. Although targeted to the teen scene, there is something there for everyone.
This show takes place is upper Manhatten and revolves around a blog-Gossip Girl and a certain gang of rich kids.
Gossip Girl’s identity is not known to anyone, but this circle of kids rely on her for thier news of whos, what’s and where’s.
The star of the show Serena, clone of Mischa Barton, has appeared back in their lives after a mysterious disapperance, no one knows why she left in the first place. They do know that Serena, once the party “IT ” girl has changed and they don’t like it.
Serena’s best friend’s Blair’s boyfriend, Nate, has a thing for her as does another boy, Dan, who she doesn’t even know exists (he’s from the other side of the tracks.) Serena’s friendship with Blair is not what you would call BFF, more like keep your friends close and your enemies closer. Blair has gotten all the attention in Serena’s absence and does not want to lose it, that or her boyfriend for that matter.
Dan happens to find Serena’s sidekick that she lost and tracks her down to return it. While waiting in the lobby, her mother or sister tells her she has a dress for the kissing lips party everyone is attending. Everyone, except Serena, who Blair tells her she’s not invited. She looks for an excuse to tell her mother or sister when she says she has plans. Mother or sister wants to know who and she grabs a nearby shocked Dan and pleads at him to go along and he does. Dan admits they are going to a concert. Thus forming the beginning of a beautiful disaster I’m sure.
